Job Description
Lead the fund-raising and sales efforts for Category II & III AIFs, focusing on acquiring and managing relationships with HNIs, UHNIs, family offices, private banks, wealth management firms, PMS allocators, and institutional investors. The role involves managing the complete sales lifecycle, driving investor engagement, strengthening distribution channels, and supporting the growth and positioning of alternative investment products.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive fund-raising for Category II & III AIFs and achieve annual inflow targets.
- Source investments from HNIs, UHNIs, family offices, PMS allocators, and institutional investors.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from pitching and investor engagement to onboarding and closure.
- Build and strengthen relationships with private banks, wealth management firms, IIFAs, and family offices.
- Conduct product training, investor roadshows, and distributor engagement programs.
- Present fund philosophy, portfolio construction, performance, risk, and market outlook to investors.
- Coordinate with CIO, fund managers, and product teams for investor meetings and due diligence.
- Manage ongoing investor relationships and post-investment communication.
- Track trends across AIFs, PMS, and alternative investments.
- Provide market insights on product positioning, pricing, and potential new fund opportunities.
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and investor forums.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of:
- Category III AIF structures
- Equity long-only / long-biased strategies
- Quant or systematic investment approaches (preferred)
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Ability to engage investors on performance attribution, risk, and market outlook.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in selling Category III AIFs or complex alternative strategies.
- Experience with AMCs, alternative asset managers, private banks, or wealth firms.
- Strong existing relationships with HNIs, UHNIs, private bankers, and family offices.
